The SwiftTec DMX LightShow software suite is a family of programs designed to control lighting and other DMX devices in theatres, clubs. The software family contains offerings for both the large and small user with prices to suit.
DMX LightShow Modules
The DMX LightShow software contains a number of modules which give some useful combinations whcih should suit most users. All the modules use the same USB DMX controllers and all the modules are included as standard.
The following table outlines the available modules, all of which come as standard with the software. Click on the module name for more information on the module.
DMX Manager
DMXmanager is a program designed to allow complex control of a large number of DMX fixtures potentially in multiple DMX universes. DMX Manager is included as standard in the DMX LightShow software package.
The software runs in a number of independent windows allowing the controls to be spread over multiple screens.
The main window gives a visual overview of the state of all the fixtures and allows fixtures to be selected and controlled. There are sections for the triggers and window controls plus a status window for all DMX Universes and controllers.

The scenes and effects windows allow the creation of hundreds of triggerable scenes and effects which can be launched at the click of a mouse. Using this system a complex lighting show can be created that is only limited by the imagination.
DMX Console and RGB Console

DMXconsole is a program designed to function like a standard DMX lighting console. It has a number of configurations / layouts which can be set in the options. There is a choice of 16, 24, 32, 48 and 64 channel versions of the console. Each channel is assumed to control a single lantern or dimmer. The console allows for scenes to be recorded and recalled. The number of scenes available depends on the channel configuration selected. The faders for each channel are animated in real-time and a visual rendering of each lantern is also shown above each fader.
DMXrgbconsole is an enhanced version of the DMXconsole program which understands RGB LED fixtures. It builds on the easy-to-use DMXconsole design so will be easy to migrate to. Like DMXconsole it has a number of configurations / layouts which can be set in the options. There is a choice of 16, 24, 32, 48 and 64 channel versions of the console. Each channel is assumed to control a single fixture.

The console allows for scenes to be recorded and recalled. The number of scenes available depends on the channel configuration selected. The faders for each channel are animated in real-time and a visual rendering of each lantern is also shown above each fader.
As can be seen from the screenshot below the visual appearance is very similar to the DMXconsole module.
DMX Manager Remote
The DMX Manager Remote program is designed to allow remote control of the DMX Manager module via the network. When connected the remote software shows the status of and allows control of the Scene and Effects that have been created in the manager.

The scenes and effects windows allow the creation of hundreds of triggerable scenes and effects which can be launched at the click of a mouse. Using this system a complex lighting show can be created that is only limited by the imagination.
Common Features
The following feature are common to all the DMX LightShow family of programs.
- Supports mulitple DMX controllers (some products have built-in limits as to the number of active universes, e.g. DMXconsole will only control a single DMX universe)
- Hot-swappable DMX controllers – if one interface stops running unplug it, plugs in a new one and it takes over automtically.
- Editable scenes for creating quick changes to multiple devices. Each scene has
- A name field
- Changeable colours on console display
- Single or multiple frames for creating static or dynamic lighting changes. Frame types include
- Fade – smooth fading
- Switch – instance switching
- Delay – time delay (no device changes)
- Loop count for frames (option for continuous)
- Editiable effects – similar to scenes but which only work on selected devices.
- Unlimited multiple concurrent effects – the only limit is the power and available memory of your computer!
- Editable channel definitions (Dimmer, Mode, Pan, Tilt, Gobo, Mode, etc)
- Comes with a number of pre-made device templates (XML format)
- Ability to create your own device templates
