The SwiftTec Inter-Program discovery system is used to enable SwiftTec products to discover the presence of other SwiftTec products on the network.
The SwiftTec Inter-Program Discovery System is used by various SwiftTec software products such as our SongManager software to discover the presence of modules running on the local network. It works by running as a background service listening for broadcasts from SwiftTec applications wishing to advertise themselves on the network.
Any SwiftTec program wishing to enquire about the availability of SwiftTec modules on the network detected by the service can subscribe to the service to be notified about the current list of known modules and any subsequent changes to that list as services are added and removed.
